Help us install CCTV cameras at our shelter to protect our dogs from harm.

Our shelter consists of five kennels, across two floors, at the busy Animal Lodge facility in Sungei Tengah. With up to a hundred dogs in our care at any given time and just two full-time staff, the team at OSCAS is often stretched.

Between twice-daily feedings, constant cleaning, administering medical care, transporting dogs to and from medical appointments, facilitating kennel visits for donors and students, managing a large team of volunteers and screening adopters, we often wish that we had an extra set of eyes in the back of our head.

So we would like to appeal to your generosity to help us set up a CCTV security camera system in all five of our kennels.

A CCTV system would enable us to monitor the health and well-being of our dogs at all times. It would also help us prevent problematic but frequent occurrences, e.g. unauthorised visitors trying to access our kennels, thefts of donations from our shelter gates, and unidentified individuals tossing dangerous items into our kennels (e.g. sewing needles) that could potentially injure or kill our dogs.

Each kennel requires 8 cameras, cabled to a recording device that can be accessed remotely and stores recordings for up to 7 days. The CCTV cameras would allow us to even enable live streaming on our digital platforms, which would help us to promote our mission to the public and encourage donations and new volunteers.

Every dollar donated to this campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Tote Board and the Government under the Enhanced Fund-Raising Programme. We have a wonderful opportunity to raise funding for our dog’s security, so please donate today!
